Art Journal

Dust From The Soul

Another art journal spread, again in my small Dylusions journal. I’m really loving the size of this journal – big enough to happily play, but not so big as to be daunting. o you ever find a large blank page kinda scary?

I started this page with a coat of white gesso, some drippy, watered down paint, and topped it off with some sketchy journaling. I then doodled some random shapes, and filled in the rest of the background with black gesso. A quick and simple, yet oh so satisfying journal spread. Happy days!

  1. That looks great! Those leaf shapes are really appealing and I like the black and white set against the pop of colour. I’ve not managed any journaling – or creativity of any kind – for a couple of weeks now and I am seriously missing that aspect of my life. Hopefully it will all settle down soon on the home front (I just moved house yet again) so I can eke out some much-needed art time.
