Art Journal

Art Journal Share: Second Self

Another art journal spread to share, this time from my large Dylusions journal. I love have multiple journals on the go so I can change on a whim.

I started this particular spread by gelli printing directly into my journal. It’s the first time I’ve tried it and it was quite fun, I love the result! The blank area on the left page will be filled with journaling at some point.

Materials: large Dylusions art journal, Gelli Arts gel printing plate, Crafters Workshop Flower Frenzy 6×6 stencil, Crafters Workshop Halftone Borders 12×12 stencil, Prima Turkish Grunge stencil, Heidi Swapp Sunshine 12×12 stencil, Sharpie paint pen, Faber Castell Big Brush pens in black and grey, Pilot Permaball, Glitz roller stamp in Wavy Chevron, Archival ink in Jet Black, Liquitex gesso, vintage doilies (as stencils), book text, acrylic paints.

Do you work in multiple journals, jumping to and fro, or are you more of a chronological journaller?

Happy arting!

    1. The girls were made out of book text that I stenciled on before adding them to my page. It’s a fun, yet simple, effect. And thank you for your kind words – it makes my day to hear that you’re now feeling inspired! I’d love to see anything you create as a result :)
